Our story: Supporting New Zealand churches with their financial management

Back in 2005, CATAS was founded as an independent not-for-profit charitable company, by the Baptist Union of New Zealand. We recognised that many Baptist churches and church-related trusts were struggling with financial management and reporting. To meet this need, we created a cost-effective accounting service dedicated to the faith-based charitable sector.

Starting from humble beginnings, our services quickly grew in demand. To better serve our clients, we added payroll services to our offerings. Today, CATAS proudly supports churches and related trusts across New Zealand, including numerous Christian denominations and movements.

Originally registered as Church and Trust Accounting Services Limited, we rebranded to CATAS Limited in 2018 to reflect our expanded mission and vision.
